Our previous (Salem 27 RBEC) and current (Rockwood 8312SS) "home away from homes." We had the Salem for 2 seasons before my DW decided WE needed slides and an outside kitchen!!!!

I have said this before and I will say it again - I just have to take a second (and sometimes third) look at RV's that are either sitting in snow, next to snow or have snow on them.

Somehow, my little mind just cannot put snow and RV's together.

OK - I have to admit the pickup was a ME decision. The Armada was a decent TV, but with the 6.2 and max tow, the pickup is a better option.

The first picture is our previous camper....my Grandparents 41ft Newmar Dutch Star with a 400 Cummins and 4 slides. This thing was awesome to drive and take camping. Unfortunately, my Grandparents are in their late 80's and my Grandfather couldn't realistically be safe behind the wheel of it any longer. Rather then have it sit, they decided to sell. I found a buyer for it but, couldn't afford it myself even on the used market.

So, with the young family I set out to find our own camper in our price range to make memories. I settled on a 2006 Flagstaff 831RLSS at a price I couldn't pass up. I am towing it with my 2004 Nissan Titan with the Big Tow package as Nissan refers. We only took it out once last year as we got it the end of the season. We are looking forward to alot of use this coming season and can't wait to make more family memories.

Thanks! Yes, the decals were fading a little so the previous owner had them all redone. Same basic design but, the color of the decals are a little different. It's fine for us for our first camper.

Great forum, having a good time looking at all the mods and reading knowledge on here.

Happy Camping!

We are hoping for a nice weekend to go to Fort Custer State Campground.
But if it doesn't work out our first trip will be to see my son at Mt. Pleasant (CMU) at Soaring Eagle RV Resort on weekend of April 12. Maybe I can win enough at the casino to pay for my camper.

Have fun on your trip!!!!

I hope you return the favor and take your grandparents with you on some trips. I have no doubt they would enjoy it just as much as when they took you years ago.
