Not yet ... we picked up the SD in October (last of the '13 models) and the TH was already put to bed ... it is stored and covered. As soon as Spring gets here, we will hook it up, adjust the WD hitch (if necessary) and make any adjustments we need to before the next rally.

Remember to look at the GCWR of you tow vehicle guys when matching to your trailer. I don't know how some of the tow vehicles on the road get away with what they do ... just plain ludicrous.

Nice! Must be great to have the cash...

... thanks guys. So far so good ... I love the truck and hope I didn't make a mistake going to a F350. There were just no 2013 F350's left that I liked.

Nice looking
Camping world put three slide out toppers on my new bird. The two on the drivers side worked fine. The rocket scientest that installed the passenger side one, not so much. Forgot to take out locking pin and never checked function. Went home opened slides and the passenger one was out about a foot when it went compleatly to hell. I couldnt believe my eyes. Took trl back and the shop manager couldnt believe it either. Morale of this story is make sure nothing is put on your rig on a friday afternoon . Unless youdo it yourself or can watch it being done.

Our 2011 F250 6.7 pickup, lots of power and our 3rd work and play, this one is a 2014 30wrs. Waiting to go to the lake with truck, trailer, and canoe for some relaxation.

Nice F250 PS ...
Is your rear suspension stock ... i.e. bags, helper springs? Does it have the camper option (additional short spring)?

I love the truck. As far as the F250, there are only minor differences between it and the 350. Most complain about the 'squat' of a loaded F250, and that can be remedied easily with air bags if you so desire, putting the F350 4" blocks(250 comes with 2")under the rear springs, or putting the other spring in the pack that the F350 has. Other than that, the differences will never be noticed by the average person. That being said, the newer trucks do a LOT better job at handling weight than the prior generations. As for the Ford 6.7, you will love the power. Use only Ford filters everywhere(oil and fuel), drain the water/fuel separator monthly, use a good additive(ex. Diesel Kleen) in every tank and buy an extra EGT sensor($38) and 13mm flare wrench to keep in the truck and enjoy the towing capacity of a modern diesel.

Thanks for the comment and recommendations and the post over on FTE. I really would like to keep this one, but a F350 Platinum keeps calling my name. We will see ... we plan to hook up the TH when Spring arrives and see how she does with the sag. I am not sure if I want to put money in this one or opt for what I wanted in the first place. The deal I received on this one and the retail offered on my trade was too damn good to pass up.
I take it that your happy with your F350 DRW pulling your Sandpiper ... that's a hell of a TT.

The truck has the stock 10,000 lb gvw package and has a set of timbrens just for added safety. The trailer just before this was a 36' blue ridge 5ver and we lived in it for a year so it was very heavy when we traveled and the truck and suspension were just fine. I have had this combination loaded with a heritage in the bed, and a 2010 rd glide and a Yamaha dresser in the trailer and we have virtually no suspension issues. I don't think you will have any problems. I have an Anderson hitch if you look closely in the pics and contrary to what others feel, I have no problems feeling that it loads the front axle when adjusted per directions. Your truck looks beautiful I think you will be extremely pleased. If I was going to go bigger than the F250 I would go ahead and make the jump to a dually. Hope you enjoy yours.

Thanks for the reply and your setup looks great .... it is definitely more GVW with the initial trailer difference and both a RG and Yamaha than our setup with a single SG. I anticipate a much lighter hitch weight loaded with the SG, generator and water (100 gallon capacity) than unloaded. We had absolutely no sag when unloaded with our previous 2008 Hummer SUV with stock air ride.

I haven't pulled with the new truck yet ...going to next weekend weather permitting. It was pulled by a '10 6.4L 4x4 DRW prior to the 6.7L so I expect it to be better. The 6.4 had no trouble doing it, so I hope this is a breeze!!!

Gasser, right? Anything special on the van? Towing packages, etc.?
I like the idea of a van with a TT.

Yep, its the Vortec 6.0 with the 6 speed and towing package. Other than the wheels and tint she's stock. It truly is a much better tow vehicle than my '07 GMC Sierra MAX, as theres less sway and generally much more solid overall.

This is us leaving the CG on our quick weekend to test out the new camper. I'm glad I got to tow it once with that truck to have something to compare the new truck with.

Wishing I was Back There
Here are two photos from the stack from last season. The first is at Waubonsie State Park and the second is at Arrowhead Pond in the Equestrian area. In both cases the camper is level (although it doesn't look like it). In the second photo I am technically not hooked up but I'm posting anyway.
