We downsized from a 42 foot diesel rig with 4 slides, and are now looking forward to being able to go to places we couldn't get into prior to this. We have traveled from Tennessee through AL, LA, NM, AZ, CA, NV, OR, WA, ID, WY, SD, KY, IL, OK, and VA, and look forward to being able to stay in prior restricted places due to the size of our previous rig. Yay!! LOVE this new trailer with 3 huge slides!

Is that a 832IKBS ?
We have the Rockwood version and love it too.

It really pulled great on flat land and even slight grades. The trailer wasn't overloaded, and that's the key. However, because we had just traded our RV for this trailer, our TRUCK was overloaded, so when we headed up the mountain where we live, it was slow going. Our truck has a 5.3 engine, and for mostly flat terrain, or even slight inclines, it's not bad, but if you plan to go into the mountains, then I'd go to a 2500.

We're already considering going with a bigger, most likely diesel, 2500. This trailer is rated for half ton, but my husband recommends going with a larger motor. Our 1500 5.3 is supposed to be rated for 10,400. The max on this trailer is 8860 (GVWR), and the gas mileage just wasn't what he hoped it would be (averaged around 10). Again, much of that could have been due to the extra weight in the bed of the truck, which would normally not be the case. I'll check back in after we've pulled it without the truck bed loaded.

Yes, it is. We love it inside! Our big diesel rig had 4 slides (and king bed), but nowhere NEAR the room this one has, nor counter space. I can post pics of the inside, and it's nothing like what you would expect when looking at it on the outside.

Picked up this 2015 2514G on Jan. 31. It's not a big rig like most people on these forums but it works for our family of 3.

Last weekend the weather was nice and I just wanted to see how how it pulled so I decided to hook it up and drive up to the mountains.

The 4Runner did great - 4.7L v8, full time 4WD. Rated for 7000lbs w/standard tow package.

Camper is 2650lbs dry. I loaded it up with a lot of what we'd normally take camping so am guessing it was around 3000lbs. Need to get it loaded and on the scales one of these days.

We have four trips booked for this summer already including one to Yellowstone in early June. Looking forward to some good times with the family.

I agree we looked at many rigs, but quit looking when we saw that layout. Love the counter space and windows.

The Dodge duallys do sit really high. I had an 07 prior to my current 13 Ford. Had to change the height on all my hitches for the Ford. But it's a lot easier to get in and out of the bed!

Here's a little towing the first day of spring! Really wish this snow will finally go away!



Pick the new toyhauler up Saturday, and I'm getting VERY excited about it now!

Nice rig really like the 4 runner. If you have not done so changing gear oil in the differentials to synthetic oil will increase fuel mileage and smooth out ride a little. Did that to mine it was like a New truck at 89,000 miles.

You can take it to a reputable garage and have it lowered all around.
