I really like that floor plan. Congratulations on your new rig and tow vehicle.
I think you are really going to like the combination.

I was more thinking if there were a palm tree growing in front of my house, I would not need to snowbird in FL.

Looked in my RV Wholesalers catalogue and saw they carry an Equalizer 2 1/2" shank with I think a 12" drop. Only $200 Any one else run into this situation? Is buying a new shank the best way to go?

I would be really surprised if you need a 12" drop. My truck has an 8" lift with 36" tall tires, and I use a 12" drop.

Palm trees front and back but although rarely is a snowflake seen here except on the Weather Channel it is warmer in FL. Reservations are made for this winter in FL but thinking maybe AZ or TX the following.
BTW ~~ used to live in NW PA. Summers too short and winters too long in the land of high taxes. Come on down ~ you will love it here near the beach.

Not sure where I came up with that 12" drop. Lol. Flipped the shank I have and attached ball at lowest setting. Trailer sits level.[emoji1303]

Amen to short summers and looong winters. We are in the lee of Lake Erie, right on the edge on a snow belt, so once in a while we get slammed. BTW Just had 6" of snow on 4/16.
I have sister in Danville. VA and their winters are a major improvement over ours!

Options change the payload. My door sticker has me at 3239 for payload. I came from a 2004 F-150 towing the Rockwood 2604. I also ran it last year fully stock. Added the tank because I got real tired of looking for fuel every 200 miles when we were going 400-425 a day. I also added the 5Star tuning this winter. I am NOT deleted and fully stock. They have a towing tune designed for stock. Gives a little more HP and Torque but the changes in the transmission shifting are really nice. I'll see how it does towing in about a month.
Enjoy the new truck. I think I love my truck more every mile I put on it. It is closing in on 13k now.
Also take a look at the DieselSite fuel filter add on. I put it on mine at about 500 miles. Supposed to remove 100% of any water in fuel. It will shut down fuel flow before it will let water thru. Very easy to add and to change out the filters.
|
Where did you get the Tune? and the DieselSite fuel filter add on? I am keeping mine all stock love the way it ties the little 5100# Roo. Will be selling the Roo next year then buying a 2013-2015 used Crusader 315rst.

Drill and tap receiver, use stainless set screws to keep reducer sleeve in place.

Hey, you're no snowbird. Snowbirds head south in late Fall and come back in Spring. You're heading south in spring.

Had a real job that had a district office in Erie. They always whined about snow but coming through Albion/Edinburgh was usually worse. Ran charters on Lake Erie for years. Was not a fan of the ramps at Walnut Creek and used Geneva instead. Glad to be here as I do not miss the snow and cold.

That was taken in front of our house in JANUARY before our maiden voyage to FL. I really hate leaving y'all in the cold but someone has to shoulder that burden.
