Thanks for the info. Know a lot of shorthorn breeders in Illinois, Missouri and Indiana. Married into the Leemon Family in Illinois. Saw a lot of "steer jocks" at the fairs thru the years.

Here's my new rig. I've had the truck for 3 years but just bought the camper (my first) 10 days ago. Going on our maiden voyage this weekend to a state park three hours away I've been grinning non-stop!

Nice setup go enjoy but prepare to part with much money.

We started with our first trailer 2 years ago with my 10 year old F-150. Loved the whole life style and way of traveling we upgraded the truck last year and the trailer this year. Bet you have a great time.

Yeah, for some reason I was under the impression that once I bought the camper, I wouldn't need anything else. I quickly found out that wasn't true...

Not even just referring to things you need for this one. Pretty much all our "disposable" income goes to RV stuff including the truck and trailer. Almost get more excited about camping season than I do for hunting season.

Awesome name Elkhounds.. I assume you are a breeder of Elkhounds? My childhood dog was an elkhound... got her when I was 4 and we were inseparable until she died at age 17.

Thanks but nope don't breed them. Just have 2 and they are great dogs. I have had hunting dogs in the past and my wife has always wanted an Elkhound. Well we got Ruger and 7 months later the breeder called and said she had on oops litter. Same male and female were left alone when she came into heat. So we got Ruger's sister from a different litter 7 months apart. Named her Elcee.

Anyway they don't care where we go as long as they go with us.

Yeah, I haven't quite gotten DW on board with that idea yet. I'm hoping this weekend's maiden voyage will help convince her that's a great way to spend our own "disposable" income in the future. [emoji1]

I bought a used Pickup with a nice large cabover camper in about 1984. My wife took a look at it, turned her nose up and remarked, "Looks like nothing but a rolling kitchen and work for me,". One trip out and she was sold on "RV'ing".

Here is the first photo taken in Kentucky on way home from the dealer. It's not great, it was getting dark. It was dark when we got home and unhitched so I will get a better photo when we hook up again soon.

I have a buddy that fishes commercial on the local lakes/rivers and his flat bottom is powered by a V8 Chevy. One deer season he pulled it up to the club house and his crew drove two ATV's off the front onto the bank.

Awesome to see...

Yep, that was just a 'small' down payment. 47-48 years here and counting. Loved every minute/dollar of. lol
Safe and Happy Trails!!!

Add a boat and fishing the Atlantic and all income is disposed before it is received...
