Preventing Rear Bumper Scraping

Any suggestions on how to prevent the rear bumper from scraping the road if you go up a steep driveway? Can you put wheels on the back bumper? Guards to help prevent damage to the bumper?

Here is a post about skid wheels installation. You can do a search up above "skid wheels" for more hits.

I don’t know the type of axles or camper you have but I also drug the back end of our rig at many gas stations even drug my hitch once or twice. I thought about beefing up the drag bars or adding drag wheels; with the amount of towing we do I decided to fix the problem and not worry about stressing the frame. For sure I would not add wheels to the stock bumper. After a lot of thought I went with an axle flip and raised the trailer 5 ¼ inches and haven’t drug since.
I did all the work myself so it only cost me $25 for the axle saddles. I posted this mod about 3 years ago with pics, a search will bring it up. The only small issue is I now carry a step and 4 blocks for the stabilizers.
Good Luck
