Pro-Eagle WD Hitch Opinions

My wife and I are getting ready to pull the trigger on a Rockwood 2104 or 2109 TT. I will be pulling it with a 12 Tacoma TRD Sport V6 with tow package. The dealer will install the WD and sway control hitch. I have been doing a lot of research on towing and most folks recommend Equilizer, Reese Strait-Line and Blue Ox WD hitches. My dealer uses Pro-Eagle WD-sway hitches.
Any opinions on this brand?

The big differance between the Pro eagle and the other three is the pro eagle does not have built in sway control. You will have to add a sway control bar with the Pro Eagle.

Exactly. The hitch you linked to needs one or two sway brackets.

I prefer built in sway control but this hitch is fine for your setup assuming you add sway control. Otherwise it's WD only.

If you wanted one of the others, you can buy them online and ask the dealer to install for you. They might do this as a courtesy or charge a little extra.

I forgot to say that they are also adding sway control too. He is installing both for $400. Just wanted to see if that Pro-Eagle would work OK since it has a low price compared to $4-600 for the EQ or Reese.
I'll see what the dealer says about installing one of the others if I buy it.
Thanks.

The Pro-Eagle will use a standard friction sway bar. The Equalizer has the friction integrated with the weight distribution.

I don't know if it matters to you but the Pro-Eagle is imported from China. The Equalizer is made in the USA.
