Does anyone have any actual experience with the propride 3p and its actual affect on tongue / hitch weight? I am admitting to being fairly close on my SUVs max tongue weight but have already purchased the trailer and am just trying to find the best possible setup. The only negatives I can find on the propride are its weight and the price, which I can get over for safety. Also, with the propride it appears that I can drop down to a 10% tongue weight fairly comfortably vs. an 11% or 12% with another system which may offset the extra weight. How much are people seeing this hitch actual add to their vehicles tongue weight?

ProPride weights 200 lbs. On my set up it takes about 600 lbs off the rear axles once 1400 lbs bars engaged.

The Propride with 1000 bars adds the following weights to our setup:
Added payload to the TV of 127 lbs for main head, yoke and bars and another 50 lbs for the stinger.
Added tongue weight of 20 lbs for jacks and brackets added to the A frame of the trailer.

Keep in mind that tongue weight is at the ball of the trailer and payload is everything forward of the ball connected to the TV.

Therefore the Propride adds only 20 lbs to tongue weight but a significant 177 lbs of payload to the TV. That is equivalent to an extra passenger in the TV.
