Pull-Rite Hitch question.

Hello everyone.
I currently have a 2014 Ford F350 SRW shortbed. I have been towing a 5th wheel with a Pull-Rite Superglide hitch. So far so good and no problems. Recently got rid of our last trailer and ordered a new one. The new 5'er is a 2015 Forest River 8528BHWS that comes with the Reese Revolution. My problem now is that I want to keep my Pull-Rite and not have to spend money on a new hitch if a t all possible. There is not a capture plate option for the Reese Revolution. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas in order to be able to keep the same set-up?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, call Pull-rite. They have always been extremely helpful when I have called them over the years.

According to the dealer I'm buying it from, they say the Reese Revolution is an OEM part and would be almost impossible to take off without opening up the trailer. It will be here on Saturday and I will be able to evaluate it then. Might just have to buck up and buy another hitch. Good thing for Craigslist.

Your old pinbox will most likely fit

Would just leave the Reese in the locked position and use the universal capture plate, but concur with everyone else. Pullrite would know exactly which one to use.

You don't have to activate the revolution hitch you can leave it locked in place and use like a normal 5er pinbox with your PullRite.

They don't make a capture plate for them though unless you get a universal

I tow a Rockwood 8289 using my SuperGlide which also has the Revolution hitch. PullRite does sell the part you need. It's not a capture plate, but a wedge that bolts up against the kingpin. I just checked, but couldn't find a part number; sorry. I had it in use for about 7000 miles last summer and it worked well with my SuperGlide model 3300.

Thanks FROZEN that is exactly what I was looking for is someone that has pulled with the Reese wedge. Any issues getting it set up or work like a charm?

I don't have the super glide but have the pull rite super 5th. I have activated the revolution hitch. I use the universal wedge that came with the fiver and it works just fine didn't take anything to get it setup and works like a charm with my shortbed. I did find a pull rite specific wedge on ebay and bought it. However, it is too tight to fit into the saddle so I stuck with the universal wedge.

The trailer is here. The wedge works just fine. New problem is the Reese Revolution is an OEM part and only rated for 10k. The pin box can come off but Reese/LCI does not make anything with that particular bolt pattern. So no double towing.

The pinbox will hold more than the frame.

I wanted to be able to tow an atv trailer behind it. The trailer welder said he wouldn't be able to do it because of the rating. Reese/LCI told me it is not rated for that. I have always double towed, but just ended up with too light of a trailer this time. Trying to sell it quick, maybe still have a chance to break even since we were able to get an incredible deal. Any interested on a steal?
