I looked at the Blue Ox instructions. Seems to be relatively easy since it bolts where the tow hooks would normally be. But my current tow bar is a Roadmaster so I have to look to see how to adapt it.
BTW, do you know how much your truck weighs? I was considering the Colorado at it seems to weigh over 1000 pounds less than a Silverado.
I believe it's in the vicinity of 4000LBS, but not 100%. I have the 360hp, so I wasn't too concerned.
Yes, I have the transfer case to set to neutral. Manual says to disconnect the battery. Other than that, pretty much standard.
I watched the video for putting the base plate on a Colorado at etrailer. I figure two days because I'm not very mechanically talented, but do not want to pay over $1000 for someone to install it. (not because the don't deserve 1k for it, I just don't have it)
Going to take my time with it.
