Hmm don't know if I could remove the hitch. Can you see yhe Crack without removing the hitch.

x2 I adjusted mine according to the manual after the first year, the 2nd was fine

I take the top half off by removing the two pins that hold it on. Turn it over to examine the underside and clean if necessary. I do add a little lithium grease and cycle the locking mechanism several times. You can then easily examine the tripping lever for wear and condition. Using the manual parts list diagram the part A, Fifth Wheel Plate Assembly can be easily removed. When you turn it over you will see how the mechism works and the tripping lever (Cam) that I replaced. I have the 15K model, but the other models should be similar.

Pull-rite Hitch Mechanism

Here are two pictures of the hitch mechanism and the trip lever. The small cylinder on the trip lever was bent and there is a small crack on the bottom. Hope this help explain my previous message.
