Switched to an Equal-i-zer 1200. Just towed a Windjammer 3029 weighing in at 8500 lbs 900 miles with an Ecoboost 150 and I can say it was definitely better than the old Pro series with two sway controls. It did not eliminate all the sway but significantly decreased it. Another plus is backing up without having to remove sway bars. Easier to hook up, too. I'm happy with it.

Really considered the Anderson. Love the concept. Spoke to them on phone. Credit to them.... They suggested with my weights it may not do as well as some others. If I ever downsize. That would be my hitch of choice.

I'm in the process of upgrading from the 10K Equal-i-zer to the 15K Blue Ox. It comes in tomorrow but the 2 and 1/2" shank directly from Blue Ox will be a couple more days. The Equal-i-zer was fine but noisy. We got a heavier trailer and bigger truck so I thought I'd try the Blue Ox this time around. BTW, Blue Ox is swapping the shank at no charge. Great customer service!

BTW, if anybody near Houston wants to buy a lightly used 10K Equal-i-zer, I know a guy. :-)

Smile Equalizer 4pt Hitch

I just bought new 4pt Equalizer hitch this morning (1200lb hitch weight) from
PPL RV Parts out of Cleburne ,Tx. They had it in stock for $459.00, compared to RV Dealership where I bought trailer was $799.00. You can't go wrong with this hitch, this is my second one

Thank you everyone, I did reorder equalizer from another vender today, might have for this weekend.... I understand that most wdh work very well and as consumers we tend to like what we have if it works for us.... But man I'm shure glad I didn't let the sales department influence me on Sunday. Stuck with my first choice......
Thank again.

To the poster who said the Equalizer was a little noisy, they make pads to go on the spring arm brackets that really quiets the noise from your hitch. They are really inexpensive and help tremendously. Here's a link:
