Pulled it like that all last year, 5800 miles, with no problems. Bars cleared the trailer frame and rode nice. I wish it were on the 5th but it just doesn't work.

I wonder what the effects would be by lowering the head to the bottom hole and using a 1-2inch riser ball to gain more clearance from the trailer frame to bars?

I'm not sure bit I've thought about trying it. If you look at the pic i posted a few posts back on this thread would you think I'll be pushing it for clearance once I move up to the 4th link?

Level

Just a thought, I have the "leveling kit" on my 3500 SRW. It tends to want to wander. Common problem I've read. Check front end alignment, that may help.
Dbarr, my bud bought a pickup with level kit, it was never mentioned by the dealer. Part of a package on the truck he bought.

This is what 4 links looks like. If you turn your chain brackets around in the correct direction the chains will hang straight down instead of forcing the brackets into the frame. U-bolt loop should be towards the frame.

Says the "desired" working range is 12-13 inches. I'm probably at 10 inches...never measured it.
