If anyone is interested, I made up a chart for the gear ratios, compared it to my Jeep. 1/2 the chart may be of no interest. I used the 3.55 gears because that is why my Outdoorsman I priced comes with. One of the magazines said they had 3.92 gears in their test model, but I didn't mess with all configurations to see if I can change any from 3.55 to 3.92.

Here is a link to the chart, in Excel format.

Most likely for foreign markets like South America and Europe.

I just sent an email to Ram regarding the build and price too. After seeing the test of 3.92 gears, I had to check. The Outdoorsman 4WD that I want only shows the 3.55 gears available. Not all that bad with the 8 speed transmission. I check the Outdoorsman 2wd, and you can put 3.92 gears in it. Then, I checked the express 2WD, and yes, 3.92, 3.55, and 3.21 are the options. Then I checked the express 4wd and it did have 3.92 as an option. So, I am hoping that the build and price just has an error, and that I can get 3.92 gears. I will have to make a new gearing chart for it. But with the torque and the creeper 1st gear, man, this thing will have some pull.

I wonder if that 6.4L Hemi will make it's way to the 1500's by 2015. I'd think that thing would scream and have a nice max tow. However, like others have said...payload will probably suck. But MAN, I'd like to get a 6.4 in my 1500.

Motor Trends 2014 truck of the year again. 1st time MT has ever awarded the same truck this honor 2 years in a row.

That's a kick in junk for the new Silverado.

Ironically GM was bashing Ford about the "man step" on the tailgates of the trucks and even had commercials about it, and now the new GM trucks have integrated man steps into the bumpers.

I wonder if they are using the same Bosch fuel pump that is used on their Cummins, and on the other Big 3 pickups. I have been reading a lot about this and it has me wondering if I'll ever buy a diesel truck. However, if they will actually get around 30 mpg unloaded... it's tempting.
