I just hope I'm still as happy with it in 5 years as I am now. My last work truck went 340K miles with very little trouble. Of course it was maintained, but it only let me down once in all of that time... bad alternator at 225K miles. I do wish you the best of luck and many trouble-free miles with yours.

And we truck owners want to know what kind of mileage we are getting but for some unknown reason the manufactures don't feel the same unless it is that all powerful "1/2 ton"
On the newer ones you have to be in tow/haul mode as well. I have a 14. Bought it last year, and got rid of my 11 F350. No comparison. . You have made the right choice.

I can get 30mpg (Canadian gallons) if I drive 100km/h and no wind. It's ideal condition but it does happen

I have a RAM 2500 with 3.42 axel. Usually get around 20 mpg w/o tow and I had 16 mpg with a 21ft travel trailer and about 11-12 mpg with a 13k pound 5th wheel. It only has 2300 lb payload capacity however and I'm trading it in for a 3500.

I have an 05 Ram 3500 CTD. I've been towing a 16k fiver since new. Loads of power. Good mileage hitched and empty as well. Your fuel economy will improve when the odometer is north of about 50k miles.
