Bought my Harley Ultra back in 2004. Had the stage 2 kit put on it so it sounded real nice. However, after a few hours on the road doing long trips, I had enough of the great Harley exhaust. I'm leaving my truck stock! I wrecked the Harley in New York. They have a ton of deer in western NY.

My Ram has 3.55 gears with a six speed, I can pull most any highway hill in sixth gear at 50-55 or I can drop it one to fifth and keep rolling at 65.

With one of the new Rams with 800+ ft-lbs of torque? I wouldn't even blink over the ratio. Hook her up and let her eat.

Good memory.

Actually a 2001 Ram 2500 4wd, HO Cummins and six speed manual trans. I'm over on payload so I try to keep it under the weight police radar.

It's funny, I'm over on payload and GVWR, but under on GCVWR, waaay under combined axle rating. Sits perfectly level and the truck alone can stop it easily. It'll be even better in a couple of weeks when I upgrade to slotted rotors and performance pads.

But I'm a bad human and ripe for suing, yadda yadda. So I try to keep it quiet.

I got a 3500 with 3.42 had a 06 with 4.30 . I was also concerned about the gear ratio. I pull a with a combined wt of 24000. The new truck with the 800 torque and 6rfe auto went up the same 7-8 % 3 mile grade10 miles per hr faster 55 plus from a dead stop. It really pulls great!
