IMHO I would double check the adjustment of the WDH again. A couple of inches seems off. Our dealer installed ours and the ride home with our new trailer was a white knuckle ride. Went through the adjustment process myself. Corrected WDH, after that trailer and truck sat level. I got a little more bounce over rough roads then I liked but solved that with AirLift 1000. Ram's coil springs are designed for a smoother ride. Tongue weight loaded is 889 on our Windjammer.

Took the TT on a run to the house today to wash from our last trip. Love the way the Firestone air bags handle the rig! Truck and TT set level and there is substantial improvement in the way the rig handles.

So you never said did you have or take care of job one ie the WDH? Air bags are good for heavy bed loads & as a supplement to your WDH for a heavy trailer or combination load. But if you skipped the no sway WDH you left most of the safety & control on the table so to speak.

Best motor & gearing all 5 Mfgs within specs IE safe & stable normally to 8k but passengers & bedload reduce this. RAM 1500 ED max tow 9,200, max axle ratings 3,900, max 09-18 CVWR 15,950, axle weights me & gear 3,240 steer 2,560 drive

EQUAL-I-ZER SWAY CONTROL HITCH. Guess it's not a load equalizer hitch.
OP says he has this... I don't think an equalizer hitch can be anything BUT a WDH with or without sway control...

The air bags can be just the right amount of help that you need... good choice.

I had them in a previous Dodge Van Maxi-van tow vehicle.

The WDH was checked twice by two different hitch installers so safety and control were not ignored. The air bags added support to the springs so now the TV and TT are level and the rig handles better than before.

Regards
