Receiver question F250 2wd

I am in the process of changing out my Ford supplied 10,000/1,000 receiver for a Curt #15410 Class 5 which was on the list of suggested hitches at ETRAILER.COM. I am switching out to compensate for anticipated higher tongue weight for my new TT. Vehicle is a 2000 F250 Super Duty 2wd with the typical step bumper. Now before the weight police chime in, the 2002 has the same hp and torque but came with the Class 5 which was not available on the 2000.

Getting ready to drop the spare to mount the new receiver I noticed the new receiver looks like it will sit about 1.5 inches lower as the distance measured between the two where it mounts on the frame to the center of the receiver. Odly enough, the 2003 F350 shown in etrailers video appears to have the same bumbper. Has anybody encountered a problem with this lower clearance or can I just compensate for it by raising the ball height on the Equalizer WDH head? I would like to get some input before I continue my project.

No issues other than the height difference requiring your mentioned adjustment. I have two friends that have done the same, no biggie at all.
