Reese Revolution Fifth Wheel Hitch

We will be picking up our new Rockwood fiver in a couple weeks and wondering what experiences owners have had with this trailer hitch. The trailer will be pulled with a Dodge Big Horn 2500 4x4 with the short bed.

Had the Sidewinder on our 1st 5er.Same thing as the Revolution. Liked it alot and pulled several thousands of miles with no trouble at all.Just be sure you get the adapter that is for your hitch. The Universal will work, but hook up is easier with the correct plate.

I had revolution on my 8281ss and pulled it with a 5.5 foot bed Tundra. Had no issues and it could turn 90 degrees without hitting the cab. No issues for the five years that I owned it.

Brought our 8297S home yesterday and did quite a bit of swaying but we were having 30-40 mph winds with gusts to 50. Think any hitch would have had trouble in those conditions. Thanks for the response.

I had a Revoltion on my Rockwood 8289WS I have a custom wedge for my Reese hitch. Worked great. My pin weight was 1900 lbs and it just sat down. The sway was partially corrected with new Good Year tire D load rating.

I have a Heartland Bighorn now with a Reese Sidewinder. I like it as well!

I find a good dose of grease on the wedge and and such works wonders. I clean it off a couple times a season and reapply.

With those winds I would expect swaying. Under normal conditions I think you will be happy with that set up!

Had both sidewinder and revolution, great for towing and backing. Towed more than 15K miles through all kinds of conditions. Never any issues with wind or sway, anybody say different, in experienced with towing.
