Roadmaster Active Suspension

Interested to hear from 5th wheelers that have installed the Roadmaster Active Suspension on their leaf springs. Does this product increase your towing capacity or raise the rear of the truck much, if at all, when towing. I have a F250 towing a 325RES Primetime Crusader and notice my rear end is down when connected. How does truck ride when not connected?Website for product touts increased fuel efficiency, is that your experience?

A iittld off topic, Natl sales manager Ryan is offering forum members $349 shipped. Good price. Also they now have an HD version with a heavier coil.

What year model F250 do you have?? If a newer one, then yes it is a common occurrence to have the rear squat quite a bit. Several people have had the rear blocks(under the springs) changed out by Ford from the F250-2.75" blocks to the F350- 4" blocks and the trucks really looks amazingly well and level. If out of warranty, the blocks and u-bolts are not that expensive. Also, the use of airbags is a way to go to handle much heavier loads, so are Timbrens and a few others. The only 'adjustable' way to travel is with airbags. There are LOTS of other answers to your question over on the Ford-trucks.com forum under either the 6.4 or 6.7L sections.

Contact your dealer and express how disappointed you are are how the rear squats beyond level without having a serious load on the rear. Many have done this and have gotten the blocks changed. The only thing missing from the rear of your F250 vs a 350 are the taller blocks and an overload spring. With the taller blocks, it will be close to level when towing. I have a dually and I even have airbags. I can adjust them on the fly with my onboard compressor. My pin weight is 3100 pounds.. Before coming out of pocket for it, see what Ford will do. Many are much happier now.
