I just bought a 2500HD with Duramax. Love the power. It is an LTZ with leather and the seats are very comfortable. The ride isn't too much worse than the Denali XL it replaced.

Congrats Escape. Take care of that truck (keep up the maintenance) and it should be a great truck for you. I miss my 2008, mainly because of the long bed (and the dual zone climate control!!), but I sure do like the power of the new 6.7L. Anyway, enjoy the truck, and keep us posted!

Congrats! I also have a 2008 6.4L (mine is an F250 crew cab Lariat). As stated, keep up with maintenance and it will be a towing machine for years to come!

Thanks Ed and FordMan.

Here's a look (while the link still works) :

Used 2008 Ford F-350 AUTO For Sale | Ramsey NJ

I don't know anything about diesel truck maintenance. Oil change every 5000 miles ? Anything else I should know ?

Thanks,

Joe

That's a great looking truck, and a good price! I wanted an FX4 as I love the body-colored grille and the gray stripe, but couldn't find that combination with the other options I wanted.

As far as maintenance, follow the "severe" schedule in the manual whether your use is severe or not. Fuel filters every 10k, and drain the water/fuel seperator regularly (every few months).

Sharp truck and a great price. I'd probably trade my F150 for a deal like that. There is a 2008 F250 with 26K miles at a local dealer and it's $32,956. The description says it's a 6.0, but I thought all 2008's got the 6.4.

What are the options on it? I paid $36,600 for my '08 F250 in March 2011. It had 26k on it at the time. It was probably a tad high, but it was almost exactly what I wanted, fairly loaded (crew cab, Lariat, 4x4, 20" wheels, heated seats, etc.), in excellent shape, and still had a month of warranty (so I could add the extended warranty cheap). I had been searching for 6 months and finally found what I wanted. It has been a great truck and tows our fiver beautifully! My F150 was a great truck, but this Super Duty tows sooooo well!

And yes, all the diesels in the Super Duty from '08-'10 model years was the 6.4L.

Thanks. We jumped on this deal when we saw it. Had been looking at some similar trucks for 5K more.

Before that was considering a beautiful "Harley Davidson Edition" 2008 F350, but was 32K and had 80K miles.

Two things; diesel and a 3/4 ton.

Im a big ford fan, but avoid the 6.0 trucks.

Hard to go wrong with any duramax after the lb7 (they're also good but injector problems are expensive and common on them) or any of the cummins powered dodges.

The only problems with the cummins/dodge is that they wrapped a great pulling engine in a not so great truck.

If you were buying new, I'd say any of the big three diesel 2500's is a fine choice. It's been a long road to today's excellent trucks, but there's not a clunker in the bunch after 2011 or so....
