I understand that - still dont know wht make of WD hitch he has - maybe calling the manufacture for help may be in order.

Maybe the hitch head needs to be lowered one more so it can allow for more adjustment with the spring bars

I had a similar issue - had to replace the Hitch ball mount with a longer drop to allow for more adjustment

Trailer ball socket is at 20.5" and ball is @ 22.0", don't think the ball height is the problem.

not doubting you and I know you have more experiance in this department then me.

I re-read thru the thread and the measurements changed each adjustment - seems there isnt enough weight on the front of the truck causing it to be nose high unless I am looking at it wrong

and the gross weight is 11,140 lbs

the Roo 23SS weights 5,100 lbs?

Worst case - re check all your measurments and call the manufacture for support and see what they say also.
they will probably ask how many washers you are using to tilt the hitch head on the rivet also.
I would have the specs of your truck too handy (Unloaded Measurements / loaded measurements too).

just for clarification - when you say porpoising - is the back end of the truck bouncing up and down with the trailer going down certain roads?

Yeah, tried that. I'm going to call the manufacturer Monday and chat.

Dry hitch weight of the 23ss was 450#. I've added some but I really think the 1000# bars are my issue.

Nose was a little high, not much though. 1/2 inch I think it was.
Sits very level when the bars are on.

If I cant get the bars swapped (if thats whats needed) then I will just bag the back and run no WD.

When the bars are on I bounce on all kinds of surfaces. Worst is concrete roadways with those damn seams.

Will do.
I'm hoping that the manufacturer will recommend the 800# which might give me some leverage with Camping World.

Spoke with the very nice folks at Eaz Lift. Their assesment is that I need to run the 800# bars, not the 1000#. Mike (RV support) said not being heavy enough to engage the bar would cause exactly the issue I am having.

He offered to work with me to get Camping World to swap bars. And once I have them, lend assistance in getting them set up so they work as expected.

I'll be headed to CW tomorrow.

Keep us updated on how it turns out. Mine is very bouncy with a sp220 and the 1000lb bars also.
