re

I have a 27' Revere BH (30 overall) and going on a trip that long with it, I figured 2 won't hurt anything.

@richluden, your TV is the same as mine (from your signature), how does yours tow?

My TV tows good! The only sway issue I've had is when a large semi truck passes me. Hopefully this second sway bar will help! I average 9-10 gpm cruising @ 55-65 mph. I leave the tow/haul mode on to prevent the trans from overheating. If I am on a long flat road, I can turn it off. I try to keep the temp <190 F. How does yours tow? Do you know your GCVW? I weighed mine loaded=13,650 lbs (truck is rated @15,000 lbs GCVWR)

Mine does good, I have the samething when a semi or convoy of semis pass me, though the hills raise my tranny temp up a little but up here in the NE its nothing but hills, but when I headed to DE, it towed great and my tranny temp ran about 192-198, though it was July an outside temp of 95 at times. How are you keeping your tranny temp less then 190? I was there at times in the summer without towing on a hot day going up and down the hills where I live.

I haven't weighed mine yet, I'm going to on our first trip of the season. Getting kind of jonesing to get camping again.

Its hard to tell in your avatar, is your truck a quad cab or extended? Mine is extended, 2010 1500 LT (flexfuel) which did extremely well with fuel towing this summer. Better then I thought it would actually

Yeah we are jonesing to! We are going to ft. wilderness (disney) in a couple of days and we can't wait. I made a few mods to the trailer I cant wait to try out like electric tongue jack and a new storage box on the back slide out bumper for hitch equipment storage. My trans temp does go up around 198 when I start going up and down hills (freeway overpasses). If I stay on flat roads I can keepit a bit lower.

Its an extended cab 1500 lt 5.3 3.42 gear and the tow package. I thought the same thing with fuel consumption, I expected worse than what I get!

Nice, that'll be a fun time.

We have the exact truck then . I'll post a pic of mine setup later on tonight

I looked at the electric jack yesterday on camping world, but not sure yet of it, (my son likes to disconnect/connect the camper, he's 8) LOL

have you installed a second sway bar and if so, any difference noticed? Harbor Freight has a 3500# jack for 139.00... I will post pics of our upcoming trip!

Youroo, You're right!!!! I should have bought a 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4x4 so I could get better towing fuel economy. With my 100 mile/day work commute and 5% tow travel/year that would have made alot more sense! thank you for enlightening me with your wisdom on the "1 or 2 anti-way bar issue" as well!!
