running lights and plug on '13 chevy question

I have a cargo trailer and the TT and on both I have no running lights when attached to our 2013 silverado (factory tow pkg, factory plug)

All the lights work EXCEPT the running lights.

The plug cover identifies which 'prong' should power the running lights but I get no power on that prong...ever.

Am I missing something? LIke a fuse or some special way to turn on the lights (truck has automatic lights)?

I see nothing in the manual that helps and dealer is the next option but I hate losing all the time it takes to visit them and I guess I'm hoping it's a 'user error' and you folks can set me right!

My truck has automatic lights, but I can still manually turn them on. If you do that, do you get the running lights?

Different truck, of course.

I have the same truck, 2013 1500 crew, and with my TT I just plugged them in and it worked. Looks like a warranty issue. Hope you get it worked out.

There is a separate fuse box under your hood. The trailer fuses are in there. The truck running lights and trailer running lights are on separate fuses.
