Shocking cost of shock installation

$225 to $240 to install the front shocks on my truck. I have the shocks in hand. They live inside the coils and I really don't want to mess with the springs...

What did you do that you need shocks on a 2011 truck? No warranty ?

I didn't do nuthin' Man.
I bought a set of Bilstein HD's.
I also put them on the 2006 Ranger 4x4 I had after about a year. It was a drastic improvement in ride and control.
The front end of the stock Ranger and this truck have that weird "falling" feeling after going over tracks or humps - I really hate it.

Be carefull with those cheap compressers- might work on a car but truck springs are MUCH stiffer. I actually tweaked a Branick strut spring compresser($800-900 wall mount tool) at work once trying to compress a truck one once.

- I believe the book on struts is 1.2 hr.- so most shops at around $100 an hour would be right about where your at. I would want about $50 on each side if I was doing it on the side. Would probably take 30-45 min. On each side with proper tools. Maybe eternity if you use cheap compressers - just sayin' - those newer truck springs are stout.
