Don't know what a "tow hog" is, didn't see option for fixed 5th wheel.

B&w companion (non slider) on a 6.5' chevy bed.

X2 for me as well. Pullrite is nice. I've seen it engage a couple times manuevering in our favorite campground. Very tight and lots of trees very close to the road. Don't even think about it anymore. I know its got my back.

Simple answer. We ordered the Rockwood 8289WS, and the wife said I could have any truck I wanted, as long as it fit into the garage. So we have a 6½' bed.

How many cars have you sideswiped because you have too much to remember to be able to worry about swinging your rig out?

If you can put it in there with a slider then you can do it without one.

I think the point is, I don't need to worry about putting it anywhere! If you're good with no slider, then good on you. I prefer not having to worry about it, and I don't.
