I don't know. My 1st trip, with this set up, is 2 weeks away. I will definitely be going to a parking lot to see about this next weekend. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. It is something I would have never though about until after(if it is a problem) it cost me a lot of $$

The dealer may allow you to swap out for a shorter pinbox. That to me seems like the best solution. I did not think the stock pin box on my PUMA seemed abnormally long, so maybe you got a dealer that installed a longer one?

I checked and I'm at about 1" on the side rails also. this doesn't really concern me. have you ever had any problems?

I went back to the dealer and they were speechless, they are contacting Reese Monday and I will let you all know what the response/outcome is

I had to cut away the pin box cover a few inches where it overhangs the bed rails, It would prob be a issue it the camping spot is not level. I might trim more off when I get the time... but the metal box at the back of the pin box has more them enough room so that is a non issue (I hope)

I trimmed the cover so it is flush with the steel. it looks just fine.
