Smart car....flat towable?

Simple question about Mercedes Smart fortwo cars....

Do all years come in automatic transmission version? Can the automatic transmission version be flat towed? My wife can't do standard due to physical limitations. Do they really need premium fuel?

The car owner's manual of the car should have all that information. We tow a Jeep, no problems.

I'd go straight to the dealer then a respected RV mechanic, unless there is one here. But my guess if you you destroy your brake or transmission based on our knowledge we won't have $$$$ for your repairs.

There may be some of us that know and do it, but we don't warranty your particular vehicle. So check with those warranty people.

I bought one, and made My first trip with it last month. If I didn't have the backup camera on I won't have even know it was behind me and my gas mileage didn't change. The only thing you have to do is follow the procedure to disconnect the battery because the gear selector and anti lock brakes are electronicly controlled and key cannot be removed with gear selector in neutral, and if acidently gets turned on you could burn up the computor and brakes.

What length is your MH? Asking because I seem to see posts from those with long motorhomes. We just have a 22', and I am trying to be sure that the decision to tow a Wrangler Sport is OK.

I'm not towing a Jeep I'm towing a smattfor2. My MH is a 24' Forester with a Chevy 4500 chassis. The smart tows like it's not even there and in fact if the camera wasn't on I won't even know it was there, and my gas mileage is still 9.7 mpg. the transmission is an automatic stick shift so it's tow able 4 down.

How is the legroom in the Smart car?

You wouldn't believe the room. slide the seat as far back as you have to and lot's of headroom.
