Front axle 3454lbs
Rear axle 2926lbs
Total 6380lbs
GVWR is 9180lbs (but mine has been downrated in the Uk to 7700lbs - just a paperwork exercise, no mechanical changes)

Im surprised the newer trucks are SO heavy too! I thought mine was a monster....!

Regards,
Simon
The diesel engine is a pretty heavy beast and the Allison transmission is as big as some V8 car engines.

Yep, I'm sure. Just checked my data plate on the door post. 10000lbs is the GVWR for my truck. It may be a difference between the 2011 and 2012 models.

GVWR has to do with the frame and suspension; not the motor.
The motor, trans and rear end ratio gives you the max tow capability.

The GVWR of a 2012 F150 ecoboost varies by cab configuration and options from 7050 to 7,700 (see link) - So what did your truck weigh?

2007 Tundra double cab, regular box Limited with 5.7L

5640lbs - Just left gas station from filling within a mile, with toolbox in back, accesories (running boards, radios etc) and me! 7K GVW

add about 1100 lbs for loaded trailer tongue weight, gear and DW in the cab.

I am fortunate that there is a government scale house about 5 miles from my house, with a large enough parking lot that i was able to bring tools with me and adjust WDH as nec. for a nice balance, after many trips through, for free.

Here's my story with previous 05 F150 and the reason I now own a 2012 F250 that weighs 7420 with a full tank and just me aboard. I'll re-do this sheet soon but my new numbers for the TV are GVWR 10000 GAWR rear 6100 and GCWR 19000.

Yep, your right the 11's were 9600 max and the 12's 10k max, does not seem like any changes must have changed it to give more payload given how much they weigh empty.

Is that a mis-print or does your 450 only have a 13,300 GVWR?

The chassis-cab is a higher rating for payload than the consumer version, but the consumer verison is higher rating for towing and GCVWR.
