Kinda hard to do the math when you don't have any idea what the truck or trailer weights and I don't think you learned your numbers with getting kicked out of Iowa school system your first day in kindergarten.

if you do, then you are the only person with a gasser, pulling a TT, getting that kind of gas mileage.
and that's based on 15 years of being on various RV forums.

did see someone on RV.net, who had a friend who claimed 18mpg towing with his Cummins diesel. check out the comments on that fish story:

Sorry you feel that way.

You did ask for opinions.
Opinions you did get.

I'd love to see 15 mpg even without my trailer. Have a f250 crew cab 8' bed 174" wb no wdh, 6.2ltr gas 373 rear. Coming back from Goshen experimented with tow haul and without. Saw a little improvement on mileage no where near 15 more like 9.5. When on tow haul. No tranny temp problems. Did not weigh since earlier in the year but willing to bet thst I'm just about at my weight limits.

I just checked my truck yesterday. It is 12 mpg driving around town in the 32 degree weather. Thats dry, Towing I am 10 mpg. Don't believe what you read or see. Also Tow/Haul mode is absolutely mandatory IMHO. It changes the downshifts and provide much needed dynamic braking.

Sounds like your at capacity and then some.
Almost always your over on cargo Carrying capacity before your over tow weight.........
Have you ever scaled your unit?
I use tow hual mode anytime pulling a trailer!
It's there to use for a reason.

I have. Same trailer more or less. I come about 100 lbs heavier from the factory. Mine weighed around 4400 loaded with double batteries and full water. It's normally two of us and I'm within spec that way (I'm surprised at the torque and HP from that 4.2 inline six, but I wouldn't pull any more trailer with it). With four people, I'm probably slightly over payload. TW came in at around 600 lbs. OP is probably OK with payload if he watches it, but I'm curious on the GCWR with such a low tow rating. At the very least, I'd use tow / haul and put in a trans cooler if it doesn't have one.

I know what you mean about forgetting. With mine, If you should stop for anything, you have to remember to turn it back on again.

Sorry if we offended you, but , if you don't want the answers...don't ask the question.
You wanted opinions...I think it is what you received so far.

He did not ask people to make comments on his tow rig. He was just commenting about the tow mode. It was the weight police on this sight that have to make comments about other peoples rigs even if they have not asked the question.

I Answered the question he asked .
Then also asked a question.
Then made a statement.

It's a free public forum it's not always going to be black and white.

You are right turbs, And it is his right to leave the forum. I just don't understand why you need to comment on everyone's rig even if you don't know all the facts. You assume that they are over weight.

We are all aware of towing MPGs. Mine are pretty dismal even tho I have a fairly light trailer. The rhetoric tends to get a little more..... intense around here when someone
claims suspiciously high MPG. Towing mileage is a lot about wind resistance and less
about weight. The original poster has a trailer with a front profile nearly identical to mine. (Except mine is 7.5 feet wide and nearly all are 8 feet wide now days.)
I'm also skeptical about 15 mpg but hey- I can't know for sure....

The OP was asking about tow-haul button. I've tried mine both ways and usually just
go without it. Since I have the lowly 4 sp auto I have to run in 3rd and tow haul
doesn't make any difference that I can tell in MPG.
