Suburban Towing Mirrors

I've googled and searched, and it looks like it's a matter of opinion, so:

What's the general consensus for recommended towing mirrors for a 2008 Suburban LTZ? I'd prefer not changing the stock mirrors, as we don't tow often.

Thanks,

- Al

I had the CIPA on my F-150. I thought they worked pretty good. Very little vibration, easy on/off and didn't have to adjust each time I used them.

I use my CIPA mirrors every trip, love them.
I have a set of the "strap-on" mirrors that had so much vibration that it was almost impossible to to use them. Those mirrors are now in a box under the one of the beds in the camper until I have a friend who REALLY needs them.

I use CIPA Custom Tow Mirrors.

They slip over your factory mirrors. Go toCIPA USA.com. Click on Products, then RV & Towing, then on Custom Towing Mirrors. Scroll down to Part # 10900 for the pair.

CIPA is the best way to go. They fit my 03 Suburban like a glove. No vibration. Work like a charm. Humm, maybe CIPA should pay us for all this free advertising we are giving them.

My CIPA mirrors did vibrate a little bit. Solved the problem with a piece of foam rubber cut tight enough to fit behind the mirror in the void space. Don't cut it so big that you can't adjust the mirror, just large enough to pressure the back of the mirror.

I just bought a pair of CIPA for my suburban, put them on for trial, looks like they will work really good, $42 each at my dealer.
