The things you see at a campground

1) A Ford Escape pulling a 5,500 lb Airstream! Just about double the tow vehicle's maximum rating. Being pulled from Toronto to Winnepeg. 3,000 RPM on the flats; 4,500 RPM on a hill; according to the owner.
2) The guy using little pieces of 2x4 to level his 33 ft Flagstaff. Tires were virtually folded around the 2x4. Can you imagine the stress on the tire cords? When those tires fail, he'll be on a RV site complaining about Chinese tires.

Sometimes I think I need blinders to wear when walking my dogs through the campground!

1. Last Month it was the guy that got his arm caught in his awning while retracting it. I had to get him out.

2. Why every time we go camping people insist putting their faces in our Boxers face & letting "kiss" them?? "Oh we miss ours" Arggggggg

3 Saw a Freightliner pulling a Golf Car & trailer. Not sure if the weight police would have been after them? Wish I had my camera with me.

4. Saw a Golf Car pulling its trailer through the campground loaded with stuff.

5. Saw 2 kids trying to push a golf car with their parents on it. It must have died.

6. Some of the TT were interesting in themselves. A 80s model (brush) painted black, a small box trailer converted to a camper, a 1958 Spartan (probably originally a mobile home) 3 Roof ACs. , a Rat Rod with an older motor home.

7. The young couple that had every square inch of their camp site loaded with stuff ..... many chairs, 3 barrels of toys, 20 feet of plastic fence 2-3 tables of food (left out) bicycles, golf car, refrigerator. & much more.. When they packed up his duelly could not hold it all. It started out with at least 10 people they loaded 2 sites then just the couple & their baby. It was fun to watch as I am sure that it did not all get to their home.......

people hooking and unhooking their WD bars with one hand. Juts toss them if you aren't going to use them properly. Not doing any good at all

I like looking at all the different campers. I am crazy about the vintage stuff and what people will come up with just to go camping. Many years ago I wanted to buy a box trailer and turn it into a camper with a garage area in it. My wife though I was crazy, now they manufacture then that way.

Why is this crazy? Someone using a truck as a truck? Farmers do it all the time. What is the man to do? Go buy a $60,000 1T diesel dually to haul wood a short distance?
