Not saying there's no concern or safety issue. Only that over weight is hard to prove without weighing.
Everyone just drive safe and watch out for each other. ;*}

First of all; thank you for your service. As a shield wearer you have my deepest respect for what you have done to keep the motoring community safe.
I do know that some (all?) PA troopers keep tire load scales in their trunk (along with an assortment of very cool gear ). I have seen them on the side of the road with trucks getting them checked.
Intercomp PT300 Wheel Load Scale - 100126 NTEP
Are they a special duty assignment or do all troopers carry them?

In Iowa there is a commercial vehicle enforcement task force which targets mostly commercial vehicles but will pull over any vehicle that has a trailer attached if there appears to be an issue.
They all have scales.
State troopers and county officers could care less unless it's an obvious violation.
Ie lights or unsafe loading.

LSP Troopers do not weigh. However, Louisiana has an "enforcement" division, separate from state police which patrols highways for over weight/sized trucks. Only seen em deal with tractor trailer rigs and loggers. Troopers could request them anytime to come weigh one but I suppose the thought here is that there is a whole group of officers out there working on it already. This division was called "Weights and Standards" years ago but now are just "enforcement."
Thanks for the kind words. Loving retirement and ready to travel as a regular Joe.

Looks kinda hunched down to me, like when I hauled my previous rig, a 14,400 GVWR 34.5 ft Lakota Estate. Never had a problem but am much more comfy with my 9200 lb vcross. Still almost 500 lb over TV GVWR tho.

OK, all you 1/2 ton neigh sayers. How about some negative comments about my rig. I believe that I'm pretty level too. LOL
Seriously, I've had a 1/2 ton 5th wheel setup before. Not as heavy as the OP, but pretty close to my max. Did very well with that setup.

Huh? Truck is level, trailer is level. Looks good. Nice looking rig even if it is pulled with a Blue Oval.
