thinking of upgrading tv ... hitch???

I currently tow my mini lite 2306 , roughly 5000 pounds loaded. I want to upgrade my tv from silverado 1500 2wd to a silverado 2500 4x4 . The 2500 is several inches taller. I looked at my reese wdh, I don't see how i might adjust the hitch as it seems to already be at the lowest setting . Do I need a new hitch , or is there an attachment or retrofit that will do the trick . My goal is to upgrade in the future to a larger trailer or 5th wheel ... one thing at a time . I just wonder , will I need a new hitch?

you can buy the shank part (the L shaped piece that goes in the receiver) in different lengths. You just need to get one a bit longer and transfer the rest over

As davel2071 said, you can buy a longer shank. We just went from a 2011 Silverado 1500 4x2 / Mini-lite 2304 to a 2017 Silverado 2500 HD 4x4 / Ultra-lite 2606WS. We were able to drop the shank to the lowest setting. However, the 2606 is taller than the Mini-lite to accommodate the front storage area. So, don't discard the shank you have now. It may come in handy when you upgrade the trailer.
