With the 5.5 ft. box you'll need a Reese Sidewinder (aftermarket) pin box on the 5er. I have the same size box and you can't put a slider type hitch in it.
Here's some advice from eTrailer.com for this situation:
"To determine if the Revolution offers enough extra clearance for your truck and trailer, there are some measurements to look at. First, measure from the center of the hitch jaws to the back of the truck cab and add 22 inches (length of Revolution extension). Then, measure the width of the trailer overhang and divide by 2 to get half."
