nice to hear and no one said it was or did , so not sure why you would think that. can't compare yours to his or visa versa either. in your pic doesn't look like your rear bumper cover is sagging real bad like the jeep in the op's pic.

I personally would never tow something that big with a tv that small and light weight. I had a 35'er bumper drag toy hauler 2006 wolf pack 30 wp behind a 1995 f250 powerstroke and that was about the worst thing I have ever towed no matter what I did. wind would catch it push it and rigs would suck me in then it would take the truck!! so for those that say " it tows fine" that's great, to each there own but my idea of towing comfortably is diff than those that say that. I went fiver ( sig line) picked up major stability and handling with that same 1995 f250 and 1mpg all from going fifth wheel. then I went 4x4 dually so I could fall asleep in a wind storm towing that fiver lol

Hard to tell from the pic, but a Grand Cherokee can have the 5.7 V8 (new ones can get a 6.4 too) and be rated for about 7200# gvw trailer. If it is the V8, then on paper, he's probably not too bad. In practice, and in 20 mph winds, it most likely wasn't a relaxing towing experience.

Yes, tongue jack was down on a cinder block and it was sagging that bad. That is a 90's grand cherokee, no way is it rated for anything north of 5K lbs, V-8 or not, that is also an older camper, from the looks late 90's early 2000's. They were not exactly building ultra lite weight units in that class back in the day.

He is parked, which was good as just driving in that wind in my F-250 it was pushing me around pretty good during the gust, which was coming out of the north while I was driving west.
FTR, I did not see any WDH setup.

OC, I posted the pic, in the towing section, more as a WOW than trying to deride anybody, I would also say WOW if I had seen this setup going down the highway with zero wind blowing as it does almost appear comical when looking at the size of the TV compared to the TT.

I've seen some of his installs. Very well done and increased my confidence in his setups.
Your TDI probably has the extension attached to the center of the rear independent suspension to transfer the loads from the WDH.
I'd tow that all day long.

From what research I have done, it looks like the Jeep is probably a 5.2L Magnum v8, with as towing capacity of 6,500lbs. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but he probably has the power to pull it and may (possibly) be within his weight limits. I agree it looks like it's nose up, but he may have it this way to keep the trailer level, someone who's really OCD about a level refrigerator. I agree he runs a risk of sway with that short of wheelbase, but we don't know if he bought this thing used and is bringing it to a permanent site somewhere and didn't want to buy a new truck for a one time tow. OV845, that's a nice setup and I don't think you're wrong. If you are within limits and you feel comfortable, More power to you. I was towing a 35' 11" Montana (2005 33rkbs) with a 2003 Ford Expedition. It did look funny, but it towed fine, as long as I didn't fill with water, and load it with all my worldly possessions I was within weight. I used it for 3 years as my TV.

Check out this set-up! Some will say he probably has the diesel, and he very well might, especially with this length and assumed weight, but still, check out the length. That's a smaller wheel base then the Jeep in the OP's post.

CMPTRKD, I have a 4.7L with 2.5" spacer lift, K&N cold air induction, Borla cat back exhaust and Superchips Performance Tuner. All this was done before we decided to get the TT. Est. horsepower 280 and around 300 lbs of torque. First pull from the dealer with the TT my jeep did look like the Jeep with the rear bumper dragging. They said I needed new shocks I knew I was in trouble when they told me that. We were leaving for a trip that night, I rigged it as best as I could until we got it home. Now you can see its close but it wasn't loaded at the time I took the picture.

2809W. With the WDH being out of whack from the dealer I managed 60 @ 2500 rpm which isn't bad a little squirrelly but I believe it was the WDH. Taking another trip later this month, I'll keep you posted
