TIMBRENS

I have an 2008 f250 super cab-long bed with timbren installed and I pull a 41 foot 365saqb sierra with the rotoflex hitch on the RV. I can not believe how well this combination tows! hitting dips/bumps, chucking etc. Just thought id share incase anyone else can use this info. The only downside id it rides a LITTLE stiff with no load on but to me is well worth the trade off for something I NEVER have to think about again. On a 1-10 I would say the ride is now a 8 if it were a 10 before.

Got home yesterday from our first long trip since installing mine. Noticeably better ride, porpoising was hardly notifiable. Very happy with this setup. I have not noticed any difference in ride without the 5ver hooked up, mine sit about 1 1/2" above the axle unloaded.

mine are about 1 inch away from axle, but because I carry a lot of stuff in the bed they are riding about 1/2" away all the time so they make contact sooner when riding with no RV attached.

I thought about putting the 1/2" spacer in to move it closer to the axle, glad I didn't from reading your OP.

I had to call Timbren Customer Service because the recommended kit for my 2014 F-250 sat almost 2" above the axle unloaded. They recommended another kit which changed the distance to about 1" which has worked great.

The Timbrens are FANTASTIC. I have had air bags on 2 different trucks that worked well also. I like the "Set it & forget it" Timbrens. Cheaper, less hassle, same result!!

Thanks everyone. Without knowing it you have helped me solidify my decision. My TT is squatting my TV 2" even with WDH. I was debating between Bags and Timbrens and leaning toward the Timbrens due to the price, ease of installation and lack of maintenance but I wasn't sure if they would be as good as the bags. You all have answered alot of the questions I had. Can't wait to get mine now. Next time we hook the TT up (before Timbren install) I will be sure to snap a picture and then another one after the install.

I think that if you are using a wdh, your are not suppose to use air bags or timbrens. They are good for a 5th t, not good for TT. According to an expert at E-trailer they"ll be fighting each other.
