I can’t provide any advice on the subject but want to say thank you . I read your post and wondered. Why one would want to go to such a stiff tire thinking that tires that stiff would beat the trl and contents to heck. I didn’t want to tp post a rude or confrontational post. So I did some research learned a ton I didn’t know and probably never would have if you hadn’t made the post

I like my Goodyear G614 on my Cedar Creek. I’ll probably go with the tires again when and if I wear them out or age them out

Many seem to be going with the G rated Sailun S637 tire if you’re running 16” rims that are capable of handling 110psi.
I put them on my new trailer before it left the lot - http://www.gosailun.com/MRT/Tire/S637T.

I just finished doing a bunch of research on the subject for my tires my size is 235/80R16.
My rims are capable of 110 psi and my trailer Came with load range E. I wish I would have changed to Salun’s before my trailer left the lot. Three blowouts later over 10,000 miles I’ve switched to Goodyear endurance.
The main reason I made the change was availability of load range G tires in my tire size — they seem to be scarce. I didn’t want to be caught on the road having to replace a load range G tire and not being able to find one. Additionally I had just purchased two Goodyear endurance tires on the road already so they were brand new and It’s not recommended to mix and match load range.
That said, the Sailun tires are available on Amazon prime
When I have to replace the set, it will be with sailuns. Their product quality reputation and customer service is unmatched.

Did these tires come stock on your trailer?

If you suspect load capacity might have been a factor in your tire failures you may have compounded it with the Endurance tires. Many of the OEM tires in size ST235/80R16 LRE have a maximum load capacity of 3520#. The Endurance in that size and load range provides 3420# of load capacity.

Normally stamped inside the rim, so you will need to remove the tire to see it.

I went from E to G on my fifth wheel. Had to change rims, and with 6 lug configuration no Aluminum wheels were available. Went with steel and only $50 each.

My Wildcat had E tires and I upgraded to G Sailun tires. My aluminum wheel had 110 psi stamped on the back side of them. I just had to crawl under the rig with a flashlight to see the wheels would handle the tires. The Sailuns are still like new after two years and about 10,000 miles.

My rims had the max PSI stamped (back side) on it so you could see it with the tire mounted.

I noticed that too when I decided on the tires. Thought it was odd.
In my case I am under GVWR by 1500 so 13,680 when using 4 endurance is good.
Good to point it out so others are aware.

I tossed the junk Towmax bombs that came on my 5th wheel from the factory when all 4 started to show signs of belt separation in the first season. I went up from a load range E to load range F buying Carlisle Radial Trail steel belted...12 ply construction ST tires. 4 years now and they are performing excellent. They run at 95 psi vs 80 psi in the former tires ...giving a better load carrying margin of safety. I upgraded the valve stems to steel vs rubber to handle the higher pressure rating and run a Tireminder A1A tpms system. Very pleased...excellent wear so far....and these tires are priced well.
