Tires for my Ram

My 2008 F250 came with Goodyear Wrangler LT 275/65 R20 E, I changed them out after 5year & 60,000 miles and that was due dry cracks. Replaced with the same. Very satisfied.

Just installed Yokahama Geolander H/Rs. Price is hard to beat, guiet ride.
BTW at 30K miles my OE General Ameritracks had one bad, could not run on the front, and one belt failure, thus the 6 new shoes. Discount Tires made me a great deal on the tires.

Running Wranglers now with 39k miles of which there are over 19k towing the Marriot on Wheels. Tires were. OEM on the tv when I purchased it. Will probably go back with the same around 50k. Had the same on other tv without any issues as well. Lots of good tires out there, proper maintenance and inflation goes a l-o-n-g ways. Safe travels to you.

We bought Michelins. Got 65K on original Michelins.

If you are not going to take it off-road, I would go with the Michelin LTX MS2. I currently have them and traction on dry pavement is superb. They do really well on wet roads as well as ice and snow. My truck came from the factory with BFG AT tires and I cannot complain about them. I got 115,000 miles out of them, but they ride rough when empty and the highway traction is not as good as the Michelins. I don't think the Michelins are going to last as long as the BFG tires, but ride and highway traction are worth the trade-off. The only bad thing about the Michelins is they have poor off-road traction.

Stay away from Cooper E rated tires had belts separate on 2 with less than 20k on them while pulling 5th wheel. Had 2 different shops that sell Cooper Tires tell me they would replace with Firestone, Goodyear or Michelin as soon as they could if it were them

I prefer Hankook tires.I know that they are foreign made. But most foreign tires are made in a three section molding process while US tires are five section molding process. The less sections make for a more symmetrical tire.I prefer to buy American but when it comes to my family's safety I will by the better product.

All tires have issues at one time or another. Once worked for BFG and bought their tires for 40 years UNTIL. Lost belts on two BFG Commercial T/A on my truck. BFG would not warranty them but a dealer gave me a50% prorate on it. With 25,000 miles and 1/2 the tread gone I had to buy a second tire for the same axle. 6 months later BFG had the recall on 100's of thousands of those tires. Contacted them and they would give me no help on the recalled tires on the truck because I had replaced them earlier.

Had the same tires on my camper. Blowout on one and 2 others had belt separation. BFG would not warranty the ones on the 5er.

On other forums many complain of the Michelins cracking over time. Seems to be a crap shoot over tires. You can Google tire brand and type of tires and see reviews of tires and al that I have read has issues.

Cooper has recently changed the construction of there 10ply tires, During my bad experience with my Cooper Tires I spoke to Gentleman who did warranty claim work for Cooper he confirmed they have had significant problems with their E rated tires. Good Luck I've used Cooper Tires on 1/2 ton trucks work and personal for the past 15 or more years but not anymore.

I had a cooper tire lose its tread on my 5th wheel. Lots of damage. Cooper refused to stand behind the tire. No More Cooper for me.

I've had very good experiences with Firestone Transforce HT's. The HT stands for Highway Tire, and it's designed for use the way the OP uses his truck, on the highway.

Hankook Dynapro ATM, great ride, great handling and best of all my first set of Hankooks lasted just over 100,000 klms (approx. 63000mi)

I'm on my second with with about 50,000 klms, lots of tread left, easily another 100,000 klms.
