Titan Owners?

Howdy folks, just traded up from a 98 F-150 4.2V6 manual 4X2. I am now a happy owner of an 09 Titan XE, 5.6V8 auto 4X2. Any owners of similar have any towing advice, tips, hints, good experiences to share. I do have an Equalizer brand WDH. My camper is lite, just a Shamrock hybrid 21 foot. Although if this truck is impressive I will definitely be looking to upgrade in 2-4 years. I'm looking forward to tackling some of the hills in western NC with it soon
P.S. donate gas money! I'll probably need it

I have an 06 and i LOVE it! Pull a 26TBUD and it doesn't flinch. Gas isn't terrible 9-10 mpg towing.

I own a 2008 Titan Crew Cab long wheel base and used to tow a Roo19. The truck performed great. Factory tow package and used a wd hitch. Traded in the Roo and the Titan cant tow the new trailer, 12000lb Cherokee.

Cat---sounds like you're doing some serious towing there. Not sure what that camper looks like but I know my old V6 was pretty slow (and high geared). Maybe a eight cylinders makes all the difference. I almost bought a similar camper to mine and the owner was towing with a Dodge Dakota V8 and said it done great. Any nearby spots you recommend?

We have a 09 4x4 king cab auto/tow package that we traded up for this summer (had a frontier) and so far we love it. Tow a 23lb microlite with no problem-- can't tell we are pulling most of the time. We are getting 10-11 mpg towing... We only drive about 5 miles to work so around town is not that great but we expected it and the truck is comfortable and drives well so it has made us happy so far...and no shortage of hp

We tow a M/L 23LB with a 2004 Titan with tow package. It is a great setup. The titan does a great job and handles the camper just fine. With hills, altitude, high winds, and normal highway speeds - we certainly would not tow anything larger.

The titan is a great tow vehicle - like anything it has its limits.

Have a 2010 Titan LE here. I pull a 2011 Surveyor SV264. Just got back from the north Georgia mtns and it handled the trailer great. Actually saw a Titan at the campground pulling a Outback fifth wheel. Not sure I would want to pull that much.

We have a 2010 Pro4X king cab, factory tow package and pull a Surveyor 186. I also use a Equalizer 600/6000lb set up. Truck pulls like it isn't even there. I find it very roomy and comfortable for long trips as well. The best I've gotten towing is 11.2 mpg. The best I have ever gotten not towing was 17mpg. The wife works close to home and uses it as her daily driver and loves it. Best vehicle I have ever had in the snow.
