oops i weight 250 hope that will bring it closer. I will get it weighed again workout the bars hooked up still hooked to the tv correct? I don't think I need to weigh the tv again I will have a full tank again before weight in.
The bad news is that you'll already over the truck's GVWR and RAWR without your missing weight. You should be looking hard at the amount your carrying in the truck, see what you can reduce.

It also seems that your camper is loaded front heavy the spec shows a dry tongue weight of 899 lb compared to the 1320 lb tongue weight with the W/D bars in place. Perhaps you could also re-distribute some of that weight.

Dave

I will do that this weekend. I have 2 propane tanks 30 lbs. 2 batteries’s setting on the tongue. I was thinking about removing 1 of each anyway because we can run almost all season with one tank. We do have a lot of camping gear onboard that we have never used last season. Looks like it’s Time for the Salem to go on a diet. Will get back with new and better # I hope. Thanks

Keep in mind, you ALSO have to account for the weight of the 2 Honda generators.

Good luck!

Approximately 2/3 of your weight will be added to the steer axles, and 1/3 to the rear axle, so you will be adding ~ 165 lbs back to the front axle with you in the truck. That is still under the unloaded weight.

Take a broomstick along for the botton on your next weigh......those confounded buttons are too high for pickups.

IMHO Dave is correct.....you still more adjustment on the spring bars. I don't remember reading the GVWR of the truck, but without you in the truck your GVWR is 7180 lbs......many 1/2 ton pickups are in the 7000-7200 lb. range. You will need to unload some items in the truck bed.....maybe put some things in the camper ??

I don't know how much help we should provide for you to buy a competitor's camper!

The dry pin weight is listed at 1007 lb. The loaded camper will most likely be around 8400 lbs...using a minimum pin weight of 15%, that's 1260 lb.

If the numbers you provided earlier are accurate you'll be way over the truck's GVWR (it's 6800 lb?) and probably over the RAWR too. Remember you need to add 150-200 lb for the hitch.

Dave

Thanks Dave i was just looking. I knew it would be close. I might end up getting a 26 TBUD. It is just like the one we have without the bunks in the back. Should be 5400 i think. Been looking at so many as of late.
