The last three trucks we have owned have had A.R.E hard covers, will not ever own a truck without one again.

That's awesome. What do you actually put on top?

we have the tri-fold up cover, works very nice for us, easy to fold up when we are going to hitch up to 5th and we also have an ext combo fuel/toolbox in bed. about $350.00 made for our make/year too so not a generic type.

I have a BAK FiberMax G2 4-section and love it. Installed easily by myself and seals very well. For towing the 5er, I have the back three sections rolled up on the front one and there's lots of clearance. I couldn't see the top of the hitch plate in the rearview mirror anymore but I put a piece of aluminum tape on the leading edge of the folded bundle that's exactly inline with the pin slot when seen in the rearview mirror and it works perfectly. Can flip them all up to the back of the cab and only lose about 4 inches of opening - great for hauling bulk material like 2 yards of mulch that they dump in by front-end loader. I got the FiberMax because its claimed the snow and ice doesn't stick as much as with aluminum and they're right.

I have always use one on my pickups. The current truck has a Rugged soft top which also has four bows which allows extra clearance for my large Gen to be covered at all times. Usually these covers can be transferred from current same make truck to new truck if bed design does not change. Have done this several times also saves money. I've never had water issues with these covers either. Later RJD

Installed new cover

I just installed a Pace Edwards "Jack Rabbit" roll up. It will completely roll up into a drum in the front of the bed. LOVE IT!
