Tonneau Covers ?

I've had both the BakFlip 3-piece hard cover tonneau top and just purchased the Revolver X2 that you show. I installed the Revolver in cold-rainy weather, so just did a quick job. Need to adjust it to be completely happy with it. It's promising. I LOVED my BakFlip, but thought the new rolling tonneau would be a better idea. The jury's still out, but it sure looks great. Someone mentioned water leaks on their tonneau top. Neither of mine have had water leaks. Yes, there's the occasional drop that sneaks in, but nothing of any consequence. In the Seattle area, we have our share of rain, and it has never been a problem. I want a tonneau top on every truck I own. They're great for the overflow cargo. We have a travel trailer and take it to a nearby beach campground. I keep the back of the pickup stocked with our beach gear, grille, chairs, mat, etc. under the tonneau top. It's out of the way in the trailer, and handy when we take the truck to the beach. Best of all worlds.

Based on the feedback here, I must be the only customer who hated their Bak Flip. Where do I start? It was about as watertight as a sponge, stupid heavy,dented so easily it looked like a golf ball, the struts that held up the cover in the open fell off all the time, it started to fade badly and the powder coated hardware and rivets were completely rusted. I do believe I had an early model but they are even more money now and I spent 2/3 the amount on an extang Tri fold. I like the design much more. Easy removal with no tools and it does not leak!!! Apples and oranges I know, but if I wanted to go with a hard cover I would have still looked at something other than the Bak.

I got the Pace Edwards Jackrabbit with Explorer rails on the new truck. Love IT!. By the spring, I hope to finish off the bike racks for over the bed.

Had an Undercover on my old truck and really liked it. It was 10 yrs old when I sold the truck and looked like the day I installed it. My new truck got a Pace Edwards Jackrabbit. I like this one more than the Undercover. I can use 95% of my bed by simply rolling the tonneau up.

On those automatic roll up types.. can you remove it fully so that you can use the full bed or are you just left with about 6" short?

Mine is a major PITA to remove. I consider it "permanent".

Yeah I wondered. I guess if you don't have a bed extender, not having that last 4 to 8" could become a pain. But I guess if you don't haul things very often you can find a way to make it work.

Just installed a Pace Edwards Jackrabbit. Like it well so far. It replaces a fiberglass cover that looks great, but can't work with a 5th wheel.

Had a tri-fold hard cover on my 2500HD that worked great except when I was trying to back into spot wasn't level got close to 80 degrees and the 5er hit the folded up cover. When folded up it probably 3 or 4 inches higher than the bed rail.

Installed Access Lorado on my 2014 Chevy. Looks great and easy to roll up when carrying a load.
