Alright, I had to bring this thread up again. Going through old pics from my last IPhone, I found my own entertaining part of how not to tow... When my wife and I were discussing our first trailer, we were leaning toward a 1/2 ton towable to pull behind our '99 K1500 Burban with a 5.7 under the hood. My DW decided that she wanted the CC Silverback towable which as we all know requires a bit more in front of it. Needless to say, I towed the Silverback home, thankfully only 3 miles at which the speed limit is max 45mph, down to 40 then 30. The dealership installed the Equalizer hitch package and set the height up for the Burban, however I didn't have a brake controller in it, or tow mirrors on it. Took about 1 mile to get her to 40 (45 just wasn't going to happen) and I absolutely babied it the whole way home. It pulled it quite well, however, once the trailer tires hit my yard, I had to go to 4 Low to get it where I wanted it. Definitely how not to tow. The Burban looks like an S-10 Blazer in front of the Silverback. Needless to say, my wife and I traded her Mustang in for our 2007 Harley F250 with Powerstroke.
