Angry Tow Dollie Tires

We just returned from a 2000 mile trip. After unloading the tow Dollie I noticed the tires were quite scalloped. I called Tow Master to see if they could explain this and was told it is a very common occurrence when you travel mainly at highway speeds. They said to install radial tires as the bias ply tires that came on the dollie are not meant for highway speeds......
Hmmmm, why the heck don't they install the proper tires to begin with?
On top of the price of the dollie I have now spent another $200 for radial tires.
I'm feeling rather bitter!
Anyone else have this issue?
