Tow Dolly - does the towed auto need protection?

Just wondering if highway debris damages the vehicle on the dolly...or in most cases special protection is not needed. What experiences have you had using a dolly to pull a car behind your motorhome?

I flat tow a Civic and Dolly tow a Camry maybe 5,000 - 7,000 miles a year

I haven't seen any damage that I would say happened during towing. My MH has mud flaps and a long brush type flap on the back under the bumper.

Anyone have debris damage to their car when towed on a dolly? What kind of dolly do you have? What kind of car are you towing?

Thanks.

I asked Acme if they had a guard that could be added on. They said tow dollies don't need any special attachments to protect your toad.

However, Demco sells an attachment (expensive) to protect your toad when on their dolly.

What is your experience???
