Tow Dolly Tires

Looking for new tires for my Master Tow Dolly, ST205/75-14 and every dealer I call pushes Chinese tires. Names like Super Cargo, Trailer King and Triangle. A couple mentioned they gave up on Carlisle's because of blow out trouble. I know this size is also common on a lot of travel trailers and I'm wondering what tire experiences my forum friends have to share. Thanks!

One thing to consider is the actual load on the dolly tires. It should be no more than 85% of tire max. Also the dolly tires should always be set to the tire max inflation.

If the dealers are suggesting some off-brand tire ask about a 3 year 100% coverage warranty.

Its a trailer, certified just like any other trailer with tires fitted in accordance with the same regulations as any other trailer. Therefore the replacement tires need to have an equal or greater load capacity as the original equipment tires.

New things are happening with ST tires and their speed ratings are going up especially if they were made off shore.

This is not a recommendation, its an option. Im just using this name brand because I have the reference at my finger tips. There are other manufacturers that also make the 14 commercial LT tires. There are normally three 14 sizes to select from and all are LRD.

Airdale's info is correct. Still need to confirm you are not overloading any tire you use on the dolly.
