Tow mirrors extend by itself

I have a 2014 Silverado 2500 HD with manual tow mirrors. The tow mirrors pull out for when your Towing your RV. Just recently they started to extend out by themselves when you're just driving down the road. Not very much about 1/2 inch. Is there a way to adjust the sliding out of the mirrors so there's a little more friction so that doesn't happen?

You can Google this and find the manual mirror creeping out is a common occurrence.

Most, like mine, will only creep out about a half inch or less and then stop. And for me, only the driver's side does it.

Haven't needed to find a fix or adjustment for it as it hasn't gotten worse in 11 years.

I suppose if it really bugs you, you could replace the mirror, but GM is certainly proud of them
