I agree with you if the manufacture states that you must use API CJ-4 oil, but FORD is telling you not to use the new oil being released to replace CJ-4. Such as CK-4, CK-4/SN and so forth.That is where you could cause engine damage and not be covered under the Ford engine warranty, if you used this new engine oil.

No, I worked as a hydraulic engineer team lead on Earthmoving/Mining equipment. But I dealt with fluids and filters everyday on these machines.
