9: shift auto tranny into park.

and there you have it, no kits or $$ thrown away.
You know I read the manual but it didnt say anything about using a pointed object to push in and hold, I saw that thingy and thought it looked like a screw and was useless since the 4x4 knob wouldnt turn to the neutral spot, now after reading this it all makes sense..
See, I knew someone would know the answer...
Again, many thanks to everyone who scratched their head on this one.

This is our second 4x4 Ram wtih electronic 4x4 so I kinda remembered how it went, however I took this stuff right out of my 08's manual. It is under starting and operating. Also if you check the index under Towing Recreational you will find it.

My 2003 jeep is made for towing, no problems, has the regular tranfer case. You don'y need a tranny cooler to "TOW" the vehicle, you probably would if you were "TOWING" with truck. There's got to be someone out there doing what your doing and has made the altertaion needed. Did you check anyone on Good Sams pages??
